Spalding basketball backboards can be mounted to a pole, garage or wall. You have to buy a mounting bracket if you want to attach the backboard to a garage or wall. Wall mount systems are sturdier than portables. They also take up less space than portable or inground systems.

The backboard with a 44 inch composite rectangular surface costs about $65. It has a solid steel Slam Jam breakaway rim with an allweather net.

The 48 inch composite backboard with a fan shaped surface costs about $70. It has a solid 5/8 inch steel Slam Jam breakaway rim that has a smooth spring action. Included is an allweather net.

A mounting bracket usually has to be purchased in addition to the backboard. The Spalding universal mounting bracket costs about $25.
